Is IV Therapy Safe?

IV therapy is extremely safe. Before an individual receives any treatment whatsoever, vitals signs are tested, blood pressure is monitored, and health history is carefully evaluated. If the individual is sensitive, alternative nutrients can be administered, as well as at lower doses and ranges. Every IV therapy session is performed under strict medical supervision. After the treatment ends, patients can resume their activities and daily responsibilities immediately.

Who administers and surpervises my IV Therapy?

At Vitalifts we only employee Florida licensed, registered nurses (R.N.s), under the direct supervision of our licensed, board certified medical director.

How long does a single session last?

Depending upon the condition, treatment, and protocol, our sessions of IV therapy can be up to 30 minutes. To make the situation more comfortable and relaxing, Vitalifts features comfy lounge chairs, free wifi, and healthy, refreshing beverages and snacks.

How often should I receive IV Therapy?

Each patients case is unique, so treatment length greatly depends on the kind of customized protocol recommended and the response to the individual IV therapy. It’s not uncommon to have more than one treatment a week, but many of our patients report feeling more energy and a renewed sense of well-being after just one IV therapy!

Where does the IV Therapy take place?

Unlike other doctors offices, Vitalifts offers a comfortable, relaxed setting for all our patients receiving IV therapy. Patients are encouraged to recline, unwind, and feel at home. However, we know everyone has a busy, active schedule, which is why many of our patients continue reading, using mobile technology, operating laptops, and pursuing other work-related endeavors while receiving IV therapy. We highly encourage our clients to “unplug” and listen to one of our guided meditation sessions.

Are there time restrictions to use my purchase?

Weight loss injection packages and B12 injection packages must be used within 3 months of purchase date.

All other service packages and pre-paid treatments must be used within 5 months of date of purchase or they will expire.

If I'm healthy, can I still use IV Therapy?

Even if you are not ill, Vitalifts practices prevention. Since most of us are or have been exposed to various toxins, IV therapy is an essential step in the cleansing, removal, breakdown, and digestion of harmful substances.

Does getting IV therapy hurt?

Most patients, due to the fact that we only staff well-trained nurses who can easily find good veins, barely notice anything. At the most, you will feel a slight pinprick.

What is the difference between IV Therapy and Oral Vitamins?

Since oral vitamins must bypass the acidic nature of the stomach and high-dose vitamins may possibly cause irritation, IV therapy allows for increased absorption right from the start. The second your infusion begins, vitamins, minerals, and other powerful nutrients are instantly circulated through your bloodstream and absorbed by your cells that need it the most; there’s no waiting for the liver or stomach to play catch-up.

Is IV Therapy Customizable?

Absolutely. IV therapy nutrients can be mixed independently and offer wide-range, tailored treatment. Examples include high-dose vitamin C, glutathione, lipoic acid, minerals, amino acids, and detoxification agents. These custom drips will require physician consultation however.

Is IV Therapy Refundable?

At Vitalifts we offer goods and services that are irrevocable. Therefore, we do not issue refunds for any product or service that has been injected or used in your treatment. In consenting to be treated, it is important that clients understand and accept this condition. In the event that a package or series of treatments has begun, these services will be considered to have been rendered even though the full series may not have been completed. Should you wish to discontinue your treatment in the midst of a series, credit for the pro-rated share of unused treatments at the discounted package price, when purchased, may be extended, and this may be used to purchase other I.V. treatments offered by the Vitalifts.

All gift card and pre-paid certificate sales are final and non-refundable. Gift/prepaids cards cannot be used to purchase another gift certificate or prepaid. Vitalifts is not responsible for lost or stolen gift cards or certificates. Gift cards and certificates cannot be redeemed for cash. Prepaid services are good for 5 months, unless otherwise authorized. We understand life happens and there may be times when pre-paid/gift certificate may go beyond the 5 month expiration. This must be approved by management. The Gift Card/ Pre paid if fully or partially honored will be for the amount paid and not the service.

How To Get Treatments:

Although we strive to provide a client driven on demand service, all our treatments do require licensed physician review and interaction. All clients must undergo a pre-treatment medical screening (usually done prior to visit on your computer or device, but can also be done onsite at Vitalifts). At time of appointment or prior to treatment a licensed Registered Nurse or Registered Nurse Practitioner will again review your pre-treatment screening and provide physical assessment (blood pressure, pulse, respirations, oxygen measurement, temperature, and further review of your history) which will be followed by a telemedicine consult with physician to obtain the order for your treatment. The process is usually very brief but may take up to 5 minutes. Orders are not automatically generated and it is up to physician discretion, based on your screening evaluation and physical assessment, to approve or decline treatment. It is possible that we may ask for you to provide a medical clearance from your personal physician in order to receive our treatments (in those rare cases we would provide you with a form to have completed by your licensed provider).

The entire process is usually very fast and efficient. Our nurses do not answer clinical questions, provide medical advise, and our physicians do not diagnose or treat any medical conditions or problems. Our spa treatments are designed to enhance wellness and provide the benefits that each treatment has been developed for. Health insurances for the most part do not cover treatments nor do we bill insurance companies. Most treatments are not FDA indicated, as they are considered complementary or naturopathic.

The Actual Treatments:

Once your medical screening, physical assessment, and physician order is secured, you will be taken to a spa lounge chair where one of our Registered Nurses will insert a “saline lock” (a small catheter) into a peripheral vein of forearm, or sometimes hand. Our nurses are highly trained, but even the most experienced may encounter a “difficult” case. We pride ourselves in trying to provide this service with as little discomfort as possible, but it is a minor, although invasive medical procedure. Following, IV tubing from a solution bag is connected to the saline lock and fluids are allowed to flow through the system, directly into the venous system. Upon completion, usually 30 minutes or less, the saline lock is removed and a small bandage applied. If you have selected booster supplement shots, they may be administered by nurse either before or after the IV infusion. The nurse will then direct and assist your with your check out process.
